KUM & GO PROMOTES ALTERNATIVE FUEL

PATON, IOWA RESIDENT WINS CHEVY IMPALA
LUCKY CUSTOMER WINS NEW CAR, TWO MORE ADDITIONAL WINNERS

WEST DES MOINES, IA - JULY 11, 2007

Marie Subbert of Paton, Iowa, selected a new, flex-fuel Chevrolet Impala Tuesday, July 10, at a special presentation event at the Kum & Go store in Johnston, Iowa. Subbert was the June winner in the Kum & Go “Fuel Good” summer sweepstakes, a promotion that educated the public on E85 as an alternative fuel while cumulatively building on prizes each month through the month of August.

The new Impala runs on E85 (85 percent ethanol), helping Subbert keep her fuel dollars in Iowa as there are several E85 pumps throughout the state. “We are proud to promote fuel made from corn,” says Kum & Go convenience store CEO Kyle Krause. “Our communities mean everything to us. We see this as a vital way to return the dollars spent on fuel here in the Midwest.”

During its summer promotion, Kum & Go will give away three flex-fuel vehicles; two prizes for $10,000 in ethanol; stock in an ethanol-production company, and 535 other fuel-related prizes. In July, another lucky customer will win a flex-fuel vehicle and $10,000 worth of E85 from Kum & Go.

In August, the monthly summer promotion winner will receive yet another flex-fuel vehicle, $10,000 worth of E85 and $15,000 worth of stock in VeraSun, a publicly traded company that produces ethanol. In addition, each month 10 customers will win $150 in E85, 25 customers will win $75 worth of ethanol and 500 customers will win $30 in E85.

More than 57,261 entries were collected for the June prize from 441 Kum & Go locations throughout 13 states. “The response to this promotion has been phenomenal. People are excited about the opportunity to convert to E85 and flex-fuel vehicles,” says Krause.

The promotion is open to Kum & Go customers who are residents in one of the 13 states in which
Kum & Go operates, including Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Colorado, Arkansas, Wyoming and Wisconsin. The Subbert’s name was drawn on July 3, 2007 as the June winner and she was informed via phone on July 5, 2007.
