Kum & Go Opens New Store in Stillwater, Okla.

3,400-square-foot store offers customers quality products, superior service

(West Des Moines, Iowa — March 20, 2008)  Kum & Go, L.C., one of the nation’s leading convenience store chains, is proud to announce that its new store in Stillwater, Okla., will open for business on Friday. The 3,400-square-foot store took nearly four months to construct and is located at 1890 N. Perkins Road, just four miles from the Cimarron Turnpike and a mile and a half from the Oklahoma State University campus. A tenant will fill the adjoining 1,700-square-feet of building space in the near future.

“We are thrilled to offer a Kum & Go location for the residents and college students of Stillwater and surrounding areas,” said Kyle Krause, Kum & Go president and CEO. “Kum & Go provides superior service on top of offering a large selection of quality products. We are excited to begin building relationships with businesses and patrons within the community.”

The new store features eight conventional fueling stations, offering unleaded, mid-grade, premium and diesel fuels. There is also one additional fuel dispenser customized for larger vehicles.

In addition to offering quality gasoline, Kum & Go stores feature a wide selection of food and beverage products, including Java Ridge Premium Coffee, Go Fresh Market Sandwiches, Nuclear energy drinks and Nutri2o nutraceutical waters. The Iowa-based company also offers potato chips, bottled water, cookies and candy under the well-known Hiland brand name in its stores.

Kum & Go prides itself on providing patrons with the ideal customer experience. Last year, the company was voted No. 1 in customer service out of seven major convenience store chains and earned the national Excellence in Customer Service Outlook Award. All customers can expect friendly and helpful associates, a well-kept store and reasonable prices. “We want Kum & Go to become Stillwater’s store of choice for coffee or pop in the morning, gas after work and all the stops in between,” Krause said.

As part of Kum & Go’s commitment to developing environmentally friendly building and operating practices, the new Stillwater store integrates heavily insulated glass, LED cooler door lights and energy-efficient coolers into its energy-efficient design.

This is the first location in the Stillwater area and the 46th store in the state of Oklahoma, including a location in Owasso that opened earlier this month. Kum & Go plans to continue its growth in Oklahoma with three new stores — one each in Owasso, Lone Chimney and Coweta — all scheduled to open later this year.
