Kum & Go Opens Two New Stores in Northwest Arkansas —

(West Des Moines, Iowa — March 13, 2009)  Kum & Go, L.C., one of the nation’s leading convenience store chains, is proud to announce that its new stores in Lowell and Bentonville, Arkansas are open for business. Each of the two 3,400-square-foot stores took less than 100 days to construct. The Lowell store is located at Goad Springs Road & W. Monroe Ave, just west of I-540. The Bentonville store is located at SW Regional Airport & Greenhouse Roads.

“Kum & Go is excited for our continued growth in Northwest Arkansas,” said Kyle Krause, Kum & Go president and CEO. “We now have 9 stores in the Northwest Arkansas area, and a total of 24 in the state. We appreciate the support of Arkansas and will continue to provide the service and products that our customers want and expect.”

The new stores both feature 20 conventional fueling stations, offering unleaded, unleaded plus, premium, E85 and diesel fuels. In addition to offering quality gasoline, Kum & Go stores feature a wide selection of food and beverage products, including Java Ridge Premium Coffee, Go Fresh Market Sandwiches, Nuclear energy drinks and Nutri2o nutraceutical waters. The Iowa-based company also offers potato chips, bottled water, cookies and candy under the well-known Hiland brand name in its stores.

The two locations will each run four-week grand opening events beginning Friday, March 13.  During this event, customers will enjoy discounted pricing on various products including fountain drinks, Hiland chips, hot dogs, tornados, breakfast sandwiches and 2-liter sodas.  An additional grand opening weekend will be held at each location on Friday and Saturday, March 27 and 28, where customers can take advantage of free 32 oz. fountain drinks and 50 cent hot dogs as well as register to win prizes.

Kum & Go prides itself on providing patrons with the ideal customer experience. In 2007, the company was voted No. 1 in customer service out of seven major convenience store chains and earned the national Excellence in Customer Service Outlook Award from Convenience Store/Petroleum (CSP) magazine. Customers can expect friendly and helpful associates, a well-kept store and reasonable prices. “We want Kum & Go to become Northwest Arkansas’ store of choice for coffee or pop in the morning, gas after work and all the stops in between,” Krause said.
