Our sustainability framework focuses on three principles: people, planet and profit. We are a for-profit organization; but, incorporating the other two P’s into the process is what keeps us in business. Making decisions that affect the planet in a positive way, as well as helping people through social equity practices, is simply the right thing to do, and doing the right thing is what helps us sustain a profitable business.
What does this look like?
Planet: We have more than 100 LEED-certified convenience store locations (check one out in our virtual walkthrough). Our environmentally-friendly convenience store allow us to innovate new ways to consume less energy and water, while producing less waste in our daily operations.
People: Our formal food rescue (donation) program is now in its second year. Kum & Go has partnered with over 18 regional food banks in nine states to facilitate the responsible donation of our fresh, unsold food. Today, we donate our unsold food in more than 270 store locations and have provided more than 1 million meals to food-insecure families in 2018.

A big thank you to all of some of our collaborators and partners helping fight food insecurity in the communities we serve:
