To our Kum & Go family,
Our priority has always been the safety and well-being of our Associates & Customers. As we’ve been monitoring the evolving situation of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), this priority remains paramount; and that is why I’m proud to share that we have decided to take the following steps:
Any Associate who is sick, is not to report to work. If an Associate experiences any symptoms of COVID-19, we encourage them to be tested. And regardless of their health coverage status, should there be a cost associated with testing, we will cover it. Fully vaccinated Store Associates receive paid sick leave with a positive COVID-19 test and a fully completed vaccination card. We highly recommend our Associates get vaccinated.
We have enhanced our sanitization in all stores. Extra solution and sanitation products are available for both customers and associates at registers and throughout our stores.
Our food offerings might look different as we work with local health departments to provide the best options. We have rolled out mobile ordering and curbside delivery in our &Rewards app to quicken transactions and reduce time required in our stores.
We are providing close support to all stores in our eleven-state footprint on how to respond to any impact, including store closure. We are in regular communication with our stakeholders – civic, community & business partners, industry colleagues and many more. We are following CDC guidance daily and are committed to taking proactive steps as we navigate the many unknowns. As we do so, we will keep our people informed & equipped with the tools they need.
As a fourth-generation, family-run company, there’s only one question that matters to us: are we living our values? In moments like these, that question has never been more important. We will continue to work every day to make sure we can answer with it a resounding ‘yes.’
Sincerely yours,
Kyle J. Krause
