Kum & Go appoints Matthew Spackman as Senior Vice President of Grow People

(Des Moines, Iowa) Kum & Go today announced the appointment of Matthew Spackman as Senior Vice President (SVP) of its Grow People department, where he will lead the department’s talent acquisition, learning and development, business partner, total rewards, systems and payroll teams. Spackman has been with Kum & Go for five years, most recently as Vice President of Fuels and, prior to that, Vice President of Business Intelligence & Analytics.

As Vice President of Fuels, Spackman was responsible for both retail and supply functions, as well as profit and loss responsibility in the area. His work in Business Intelligence & Analytics included developing a modeling capability designed to predict market, promotional and store performance; as well as establishing a fully-functional voice of the customer feedback program.

In addition to his work at Kum & Go, Spackman is a member of advisory boards for a number of universities and is actively involved in his local church group. Before joining Kum & Go, Spackman was Vice President of Customer Insight and Analytics at Aviva Plc. A Utah native, Spackman received BS and MS degrees from Brigham Young University, as well as a PhD in social psychology from Georgetown University.
