Kum & Go Opens First Missouri Bistro Store
Aurora, MO (October 26, 2023) — The doors to Kum & Go’s first Missouri-based Bistro-style location officially opened Thursday, October 26 in Aurora, MO, with the grand opening to follow on Monday, October 30.
The Kum & Go Bistro is the newest store layout from the Midwestern convenience retail icon and is a mini-me of the retailer’s larger Marketplace stores, which are located throughout the Springfield market. The Bistro layout puts the focus on both the retailer’s food and fuel options with plenty of indoor seating and fuel pumps outside – all while coming in at under 4,000 square feet.
Kum & Go opened its first Bistro location last fall in Walnut, IA, and the prototype has continued to grow in popularity due to its more compact size, which is perfect for smaller plots of land. In 2023 alone, Kum & Go has opened eight Bistro across six different states, a number that now includes Missouri. “More than anyone, I am elated to see Kum & Go’s continued investment in the state of Missouri and the Springfield market,” said Kum & Go District Supervisor Geoff Gold. “Aurora is a fantastic community, and the team at Store #2404 is ready to welcome them to Kum & Go!”
Aurora community members are invited to celebrate the grand opening of Store #2404, located at 129 E Theran Ave in Aurora, on Monday, October 30. Vendors such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi Co., and Boston Beer Company will be onsite throughout the week to interact with customers and offer free samples. Kum & Go is currently hiring for multiple positions across all Springfield area stores. They offer full-time and part-time positions starting at $14.30/hour for Team Members and $14.80/hour for Food Team Members.
